Nyx Eyebrow Gel
Chocolate
Nyx Eyebrow Gel claims this product is waterproof, long-lasting, and smudge-proof... I totally agree!
Okay, I only bought this as it is said to be a very good and cheaper alternative/dupe to the Makeup Forever (MUFE) eyebrow gel. The MUFE eyebrow gel has a reputation for being waterproof (safe to use while swimming), but since it is pricey, I am not interested in splurging. This Nyx one on the other hand, I bought for around Php400-Php500 (I am not sure as I bought it in a bazaar months ago).
I highly recommend this product because it totally delivers. I wear this when going for a jog. Even if I wipe the sweat off my face, I would still have my eyebrows whenever I check on the mirror. I am not saying it does not wipe off. It does but not like when using the pencil types. It is actually very hard to remove with water alone, but with some oil, it does dissolve a little bit. I usually remove this with makeup remover or some olive oil.
The only setback for this product is there's no applicator. You need a flat angled brush to apply the gel and a spoolie to brush it out for more natural finish. I tried the method of directly applying it out of the tube to my brow... it only works on sparse areas where I need better/darker coverage. It is very pigmented and dries fast so I find that it is easier to work with only little product on the brush and combing it through.
My Thoughts:
* It is indeed waterproof, long-lasting and smudge-proof.
* A little goes a long way.
* I am not sure if it is available on Nyx counters but a lot of online sellers have this.
* Must have its partners at all times - the flat angled brush and spoolie. You can forego the spoolie but I find it is necessary for the natural finish.
* I have black hair and the shade Chocolate works fine on me. This shade is a bit on the warm side.
Thank you for reading.
God bless. (^_~)
