Toshiba FlashAir Wireless SD Card

FlashAir Wireless SD Card
Toshiba

What is FlashAir?  It is a wifi SD card.  Basically, its wifi capability is only for file transferring, and nope, you cannot use the wifi to connect to the internet.  Place the FlashAir to the SD compartment of your gadget (i.e. camera) and then transfer files into your wifi-enabled second gadget (phone, tablet, PC, laptop).

I ordered this one over at Lazada.  At that time, Lazada's price offer was the lowest I found online plus it was hassle-free as you can opt to pay cash-on-delivery at the comfort of your own home.  No need to go to meetups.

  Basic Wireless File Transfer Procedure:
1.  Put the SD card into your camera.
2.  Take photos.
3.  On your phone, install the Toshiba FlashAir app.
4.  Make sure the camera is on.  On your phone again, go to Wireless Settings and find FlashAir on the list of available wifi.
5.  Upon connectivity to the FlashAir wifi signal, open the FlashAir app and view the photos you've taken.
6.  For saving files, click the specific photo you want and then the option on the lower left-hand side of the screen and choose Save.

My Thoughts:

* Easier file transfer from camera to phone.
* I hope Toshiba will make improvement on the software/app (e.g. multiple file saving).
* Internet Pass Thru feature is hard to figure out.  It is the feature where in you are connected both to the wifi card and wifi internet.  I still haven't worked this out.

Thank you for reading.

God bless.  (^_~)
