Who here can recall the first toner/astringent they used? Well, mine is Eskinol of my mom. Curious little me. I also remember it had like crystals on the bottom of the bottle. I think it was alum (tawas). It stung like hell. I might be no more than 10 years old by that time. So not baby skin friendly. Good thing I did not burn my skin.
Fast forward to the future, I am now using Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner.
I first bought the small bottle at just roughly around php70.
Pictured above is the 2 fl oz (59 mL) bottle. I have kept this bottle for use when travelling.
This one is the 8 fl oz (237 mL) bottle. I am not sure but I think this is around php200-300.
I bought this big bottle January 2013, and now it is almost July and I still have this much.
This is a pop up label on the small botle. You can see the picture of the old label they use.
It's 100% all natural formula. You can find this at Healthy Options store.
Suitable for all skin types. I have oily skin, and this works well for me. Non-drying indeed. My skin feels tight after use but not dry.
Witch hazel is a natural skin soother. It is an ingredient used on delicate baby bums to soothe diaper rash.
On the label:
"This pore perfecting toner gives you a clean so pure, it leaves nothing behind."
"Its 100% Natural Witch Hazel Formula tightens and refines pores, gently removing excess oil, dirt, and makeup residue without overdrying - for evenly toned and beautifully smooth skin everyday."
"Ingredients:
All Natural Witch Hazel, containing Natural Alcohol 14% and Witch Hazel Extract."
They couldn't emphasize more on it being NATURAL. LOL. Considering Healthy Options carry this, o sige na ikaw ng natural.
Pros:
*does not dry my skin
*does not sting
*great at removing dirt
*dries out pimples fast (with the help of benzoyl peroxide 5% gel)
*big bottle lasts for months (depends on usage)
*all natural
*reasonably priced
Cons:
*not readily available at grocery stores. sasadyain mo pa sa Healthy Options.
Some say the scent bothers them. Smells like "tequila" daw, but I don't think so. I drink tequila at parang hindi naman magkaamoy.
Thanks for reading! (^_~)
