Strip It! - Cold Waxing Technique

Strip It!
Hair Removal Sugaring

Brave enough to try DIY waxing?  This is by far the most effective wax I have tried and safest.

I recommend this product to those people who are shy about going to salons for hair removal and would rather be brave enough try waxing all by themselves.  I am one of those people.  I find Strip It! is one of the safest waxing products out there because you can use it out of the tub immediately.  No need to heat it!  Just use the wooden applicator provided to scoop out the wax and spread on the skin in the direction of hair growth.  By doing this, the wax will cover the hair and thus provide better grip once you rip the wax off.

Waxing Strip

Strip It! provides the wooden applicator and the waxing strips; however, you can also buy waxing strips at Watsons just in case you find you need more of this.

Here is a short "Taglish" step-by-step guide on waxing:
1.  Exfoliate the skin.  Do not skip this step as exfoliating will prevent ingrown hairs.  I recommend olive-oil-and-sugar exfoliation or using pumice stone.
* Hair length should not be longer than 1 inch.  Trim it.
2.  Make sure the area is dry.  Use baby powder before each application of wax to remove excess moisture and to protect the skin.  Putting baby powder will provide a barrier sa healthy layer ng skin.
3.  Apply wax in the direction of hair growth.  No need to heat the Strip It! wax.
4.  Put the strip over the wax.  Gently smooth it out on the skin in the direction of the hair growth.  Make sure sa dulo ng strip may enough space para hawakan.
*Bale yung application ng wax at strip ay sa direction ng hair growth pero ang pag-alis ng strip with wax ay against naman sa direction ng hair growth.
5.  When you feel you are ready, grab the end of the waxing strip and quickly pull the strip against the direction of the hair growth.
6.  This is the part when you scream in pain.
7.  Moving on from the pain, only wipe the area with wet cloth to remove wax residue.  AVOID WASHING THE AREA IMMEDIATELY AFTER WAXING.
8.  Use aloe vera gel if you have one or other soothing cream.  I have one that is called chamomile after wax salve from Nanny Rose.

After waxing, you will notice the area will get smoother because of the exfoliation and removal of the dead skin cells.  Do not use wax on areas with wound.  You will eventually get used to the pain.  The hair will probably grow out in 2 weeks' time but it will be noticeably thinner.

Strip It! cold wax is available in Sesou counters.  Otherwise, you would have to buy it online.  Check out Strip It! Facebook.  This big tub costs Php295 and can last me a good 6 months or more, depending on use.

Thank you for reading.

God bless.  (^_~)
