House of Katsu
Robinson Magnolia
Lower Ground Floor (Food Court Area)
It was my first time to try out Yabu. It was a very filling meal. Unlimited rice, shredded cabbage, and miso soup! I do have a cold so I cannot be accurate on the how my order tasted. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it especially the shredded cabbage and it's Goma dressing.
We arrived at lunch time, and the place was full. We were 6th on the list so we went for window shopping first. I give them plus points for their service. They called us on the phone to inform us we already have our table available. It was, I think, less than 15 minutes. Also they were attentive regarding refilling the unlimited items.
Yabu's Menu |
"Served with unlimited Japanese white rice or organic brown rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, organic cabbage with your choice of dressing and a bowl of fruit."
Menchi - "Authentic Japanese minced meat, made with superior ground beef and pork, mixed together with Yabu's special spices, and stuffed with creamy cheese.

Yabu Condiments : Katsu sauce, Goma, (Wild guess: soy sauce), Wasabi, Chili oil, Chili flakes, (Wild guess: pepper), Himalayan Pink Salt |
Goma has a sesame taste.
That dark sauce, we didn't try so no idea what it was. Cannot also read the label as it's the same color as the sauce.
Wasabi, we also did not try this.
The tree mini bottles, we cannot read Japanese text just that one in the middle with Chili Pepper on it.
Himalayan pink salt, this is cute as it is white with specks of pink.

My Thoughts:
* It was a fun dining experience.
* You get your money's worth with the many unlimited things in the set meal. Usually, rice lang unlimited kung unlimited lang din pag-uusapan.
* I love the brown rice option. Only a few restaurants offer brown rice, and at Yabu, you can go unlimited.
* I was able to taste my meal even with my cold. Especially the sesame-seed based Goma sauce.
* It can get nakakaumay when eating the katsu and rice alone. Good thing there's the cabbage, miso soup and pickles to balance it out.
* Very filling meal.
Thank you for reading.
God bless. (^_~)
