- Quick Recipe
The star of this recipe is the dressing. It is something new you can try to graduate from the usual salad dressings like thousand islands or Caesar salad. It also has fewer calories and quite refreshing. It should be noted that this works best on iceberg or romaine lettuce as the dressing is runny. These two types are what I found best absorbs the vinaigrette dressing.
Ingredients:
Lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
Croutons (or Oishi Breadpan)
Parmesan Cheese
Balsamic Vinegar
Olive Oil
Garlic
Sugar
Dressing:
1. Mix equal amounts of olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a little bit of sugar.
2. Chop or crush garlic and add to the mixture.
3. Mix well until sugar dissolves.
Salad:
1. Wash and tear lettuce to bite-size pieces. Add croutons.
2. Pour the dressing and add parmesan cheese on top.
3. Mix until lettuce pieces are coated with dressing. Serve and enjoy.
