I noticed this brand when I was at the Robinson's Manila Supermarket. Most of their products on the stall was reasonably priced. Another plus for me was them being natural.
I was trying to choose between this 100% Natural Sunflower Beauty Oil and the Night Cream. I picked this up because of this line:
"Do you believe in miracles in bottles? Experince miracles as our gold elixir works its magic. Helps lighten dark under eyes circles, dark spots and pimple marks, minimize stretchmarks, lighten underarms, adds shine to dull hair, moisturizes the face and body, and more!"
That made me think of argan oil. Another all around miracle oil. This one is less expensive, the sunflower oil.
This was not tested on animals and 100% biodegradable according to the stamps at the lower right hand part of the back label.
My verdict:
Face - Sadly, I am not "hiyang." I break out!
I must note that I have used this only a couple of times because on the first try, I did develop acne the next day. At first I thought it might be due to hormones. With that on mind, I tried it again after my period, and I did break out again. My thought is that maybe it did not get absorbed well into my skin and blocked my pores. I have been using extra virgin olive oil on my face, but that does not cause me problems. EVOO actually dissolves the extra oil my face produces. With EVOO, I may get oilier the next morning if used the night before, but that does give me acne unlike the result I get with this Human Heart Nature Sunflower Oil.
Undereye Circles - Again, I really do think my face does not absorb this product well. I actually bought this oil for my eyes. I notice that tiny bumps on my undereyes were more prominent. Well, that could just be me. They were not the milia-type bumps. They were still fairly smaller. Anyway, I did not use the oil religiously as I do get acne.
Hair - It was okay for my hair. Again absorbability is a problem. There was more oil on my hand than oil transfering on my hair, moreso is applied on wer hair.
I am still not giving up on this oil. I read on my personal research that sunflower oil is indeed a very good oil. I will emphasize again that though I have had this for a couple of months, I was not religiously using it. So I really cannot comment on its lightening claim, just that I find it has absorbability problem on me.
Thank you for reading.
Gob Bless! (^_~)
