Nurturing Force Blot Out Offensive

Nurturing Force
Blot Out Offensive
shine + oil control cream

This was the other item I bought at 13% off from Digital Traincase.  I am all for that oil control stuff right now.  My skin has become really oily as of late.

Before I purchased this, I was looking for an oil control primer plus moisturizer.  I want those two components in one product as I find my skin produces more oil whenever I apply moisturizer.  I am yet to find a moisturizer that would not cause me to oil up.

Here is the back/underside of the packaging.

ON THE PACKAGING:
Directions:  For instant matte skin, oil control + lasting makeup, rub cream into skin with sponge, foundation brush or fingers & apply makeup.  Use alone as anti-shine.

Ingredients:  Aloe barbadensis gel (aloe vera gel), water (aqua), stearic acid, sorbitan mono stearate (sorbitan stearate), sorbitan (sorbitan laurate), polyoxethylene (PPG-1 trideceth-6), isopropyl palmitate, TiO2 (titanium dioxide), butylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, benzyl PCA.

The packaging was made simple or minimalist.  The label could be intimidatingly long, especially the name.  There was little difference in font size for the manufacturer (Nurturing Force), the product name (Blot Out Offensive), and the other little details about this product ("wellness aloe vera," "shine + oil control cream," etc.).  So it can get quite confusing to identify the product name which is Blot Out Offensive.  Okay, I am not sure if I got my point across.

There was no box included in the packaging.  Just this container and a bit of circle clear sticker in between the twist cap and the body.  The container is made of plastic.  It looks like a frosted glass like that of some gel eyeliners, but this one is just plastic.

Upon opening, there is white thin plastic shield that covers the cream.

When I lifted the shield, some of the cream have transferred to it.

The cream reminds of the old school Nivea cream.  You know, the one that comes in a blue tin can with foil cover.  Blot Out Offensive even smells like it.

My thoughts:
*It dries up and absorbs very quickly into the skin so you have to move quick too to distribute it on the face.  It can feel quite tacky but it's tolerable.  That's actually when you know it has already been absorbed.
*Really reminds me of that Nivea cream.
*I tested this out first before posting.  It readily mattifies the shiny spots on my face.  It can last a good 5 hours before I oil up, but the oil is lesser than what I usually get on my face.  The makeup/foundation/BB cream is not ruined; they stayed on, and I only needed to lightly powder the spots that oiled up.

Thank you for reading.

God bless. (^_~)

Happy 2014 to us all!
