Red Velvet is the best seller shade when the Lime Crime Velvetines first came out.  It was almost always out of stock.  I had to wait for the new release with the new formulation and new packaging to get my hands on this shade.  Some describe it as the perfect red.

The tube is still frosted glass just like the first edition.

 The top of the applicator still has the unicorn logo of Lime Crime.

Still has the doe-foot applicator wand.

The box is now narrower than the previous packaging (see Suedeberry packaging on previous post).

A closer look at the name Velvetine.

How To Wear:  Apply directly to clean lips.  Refine shape with lip brush if desired.  No lip liner needed.  Remove with waterproof makeup remover or oil.

Ingredients:  Isododecane, trimethylsiloxysilicate, cyclopentasiloxane, kaolin, dimethicone, hydrogenated polyisobutene, synthetic beeswax, silica dimethyl silylate, flavor (aroma), tocopheryl acetate, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, disteardimonium hectorite, propylene carbonate.

May Contain [Plus or Minus]:  Titanium dioxide CI 77891, red 7 lake CI 15850:1, red 6 CI 15850, red 30 lake CI 73360, red 28 lake CI 45410:2.

Red Velvet Lime Crime Velvetine was purchased online at Chic Cosmetics Manila (check their website here) for Php950.

My Thoughts:
* There was a price increase from Php850 to the current selling price.  Lime Crime had increase their rate to 20 USD which makes the Php950 price point justifiable.
* Red Velvet will complement almost all skin tone.
* I love the staying power of this lippy.
* Very pigmented.
* You have to work fast in applying this before if dries out.
* Lip exfoliation and moisturization is recommended before applying because it tends to accentuate dry skin areas.
